1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using StudyRef (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What StudyRef is
StudyRef provides academic productivity tools for students, including a Citation Generator, a Reference Checker, and a Word Analyzer. The Service helps format and check citations and analyze document word counts; it does not guarantee that any output is free of errors, and you remain responsible for reviewing and verifying anything you submit as part of your academic work.
3. Accounts
You may sign up with an email and password or with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Some features require a paid subscription (Starter, Pro, or Pro Student). Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and processed by Stripe, our payment processor; StudyRef does not store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. 5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, access another user's account or data, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Academic integrity
StudyRef is a formatting and productivity aid. It is your responsibility to comply with your institution's academic integrity policies, including any rules on citation practice and the use of software tools in your coursework.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, StudyRef is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any grading or academic outcome.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
